Check this, finally a chilled, laid back event. This isn't a poker run, bike night shin dig. This is a grass roots, ride what ya got good time only pow wow. And a big plus, its in our area of the country. Kirk from justkickers is putting this together. He wants to get back with what's become all but lost, the simple basics. Chop, build, ride and camaraderie. Well I won't steal any of his Thunder so check him out, I'm looking forward to this myself.

Its a far cry from what it was when I got it but still alot to do. Ill be busy over the winter for sure.
I got a springer, 21" wheel and brake for it. A new linkert m74b carb coming and some other goodies stashed away. Like I said before, "I'm a parts whore". Probably gonna change the paint and con Duane into helping me with some wiring issues. Stay tuned....

I wish I could have met Johnny. I've seen several interviews, shows and a shit load of articles on him. You could tell Johnny was a straight up cat. Generous,humble, and had deep roots and honest values. Alot of people could learn alot from him, wish I could have met him. If you get time pull up Johnny chop Vasco. Our culture could use more of what he was.

My first chop was a triumph and I put my sole into it. Everything from choppin the frame, making brackets, paint. You name it, all but the motor. I had Jerald Gessup rebuild it.
Damn I miss that bike. Ill try to dig up some pics n post'em.
