What a shame..

I was gonna post this a while back, and did on back talk on the horse. These bikes were caught in the wild fires we had this summer.

Crap...

Got home today and as soon as I parked the scoot I heard SIZZLING. Alot of sizzling. Fuel was pouring on my cylinders and cases. At first I thot my fuel line busted but that wasn't the case. Its a m61 linkers, guess its time rebuild it tho it was just rebuilt.  I know right....

Damn that's big!

I'm at the parts house and this ol' cat drives up in this red bitch. He said he found it in Oregon and drove it all the way back to Texas, that's righteous!

I've had these pictures for a long time. Its been floating around the web for a while, some of you may have seen it. This is one of my favorite swing arm chops I've ever seen. Very tasteful.
I was gonna do my '69 similar after this bit of inspiration.

Check out these knuckles ...

They belong to bob whalen. Cool guy with cooler scoots. He also has a couple of pans. How come most of the cool shit is in either California or up north?

So far so good

Been doing some shake down miles on the '51. Alone, ha. Gotta rub that in on Duane alittle. Took alot of the crap off the bike and its starting to look better.
Overall it rides pretty good. Motor runs good and it shifts fine. Only problem so far is the screws in the lower tubes that hold the dampener's leak. And its alittle sluggish. Sometimes it surges and coughs. This is my first linkers Carb so it may take alittle learning curve. Anyone got any tuning advice on them give me a shout.
