Here's what the cleaned up 18" looks like. I had no idea it was this good of shape. Just needs new cork and paper gasket.

This was the worst of the 2 and it turned out nice. Rebuild the hub and its rolling!

Nos??? Doubt I'm that lucky but....

It was sealed with cosmaline and still has good parkerizing considering where I found it. But I doubt its nos. Somebody just had good sense after they rebuilt it I guess, its shiny new inside with a little grease drying out. Good deal for an old 18".

Got a set of 16" star hub wheels and a earlier set of 18" star hub wheels. Along with a '58 right pan tank.

Swap bust

The swap itself sucked cause there was little old parts. The parts there were over priced and needed a lot of work. But we got to see our old friends.

I'm putting this on eBay, unless somebody's interested. One used old Harley bolt and a greasy rag I used on a 1950 panhead, reserve price at $4672.01.  I'll post more soon. This is also vintage , nos and new at the same time.      I know right, wtf

Forgive me but....

Where I live there is little to no old parts. The swap meets in a 2 hour radius have a very small selection and a shit load of new take offs. With that said, eBay is like a 24 hour swap meet. But DAMN!!!!!! people think that there shit is gold. I saw today a miss matched springer starting bid for $3800 and a set of bars by a different seller for $1000. What the fuck is wrong with everybody? There is no love, no brotherhood, no helping fellow bikers out, nothing but the all mighty dollar. People have asked me before , why haven't I put my bikes back to stock? Well I can't afford it. That's more than half the reason they are choppers. Not to get on my soap box but I have "given" away just about every part I had extra to help someone. Several people on the horse board, a bunch of friends and even some fuckers on eBay. Don't get me wrong, I have sold parts to, but I don't rape someone trying to put there bike together.
It just burns my ass that people make it so hard to do this shit on a blue collar budget. I rant periodically so I'm done for awhile.

This is driving me crazy

I have been adjusting my oil pump to oil the primary chain constantly. And still burning up my chains. I also changed out the 90° elbow on the vent pipe twice. Still no oil on the chain. So I disassembled the primary to find a burr where the face of the vent pipe seats against the case. Fuck. As always, something small, or easy. If it wasn't 28° outside I would start it and check it. I filed it smooth and put a gasket there so we'll see.

Tore into the ulh to find the clutch hub and basket grooved up. Lubrication anyone???? Little grease now and then. Luckily I had one extra hub and basket to let heath use. Now my stash is getting way low!!!! What to do.....

Oil isn't coming out my vent onto my chain so I'm figuring that out. Also rebuilding a m74B and got a killer police speedo that's never been ran. Mounted, for years, but never hooked up.
